Hoodlums popularly known as ‘Omotaku’ were disturbing the driver and LASTMA officials who had come to remove the vehicle from the road. The Lagos State Environmental and Special Offence Taskforce yesterday, monitored compliance and carried out enforcement at the Ikotun BRT bus station, which has been taken over illegally by street vendors for commercial purposes. Major routes raided includes; Awolowo Way up to Falomo round about, Ikoyi and Ozumba Mbadiwe Avenue, along Lekki road. This is in a bid to arrest and get rid of destitutes and miscreants causing public nuisance in the areas. 27 persons including 15 minors involved in the unlawful act of street begging in the middle of vehicular traffic/hold-ups were apprehended during the operation. All suspects will be transferred to appropriate government facilities in line with relevant enabling laws. #ZeroToleranceLagos

BREAKING: Minister of Works David Umahi responds to former Governor Donald Duke over his statement that the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway won't go beyond Epe Umahi said: Yesterday, we were on the road to Ondo State to inspect the Ogun-Ondo section of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway. 28km is ongoing in the Ogun section, while 52km is ongoing in the Ondo section.
