FSD 12.5 runs a red light I want to share this to have a healthy discussion regarding this situation. This isn't in anyway an attempt to hate on FSD 12.5, I still believe this is the best release of FSD so far. Yesterday on my drive FSD for the first time ever (for me) decided to proceed on a VERY stale (red?) light. I was a bit surprised about its decision to do this, and I am wondering if perhaps the traffic light being set back (before the intersection starts there's a light on my left) has anything to do with this? Technically the car passes the light/stop line as it is still yellow. As a human driver I may have proceeded on this light if I was in a rush, but I am not sure if a robotaxi should make that same decision. Tesla AI ΛI DRIVR Dirty Tesla Sawyer Merritt Elon Musk Nick Arek Sredzki Srihari Sampathkumar Any opinons on this folks?

First safety intervention I’ve had to make on FSD v14 in about 1300 miles. During an unprotected left, FSD began the turn but hesitated and paused mid lane. I pressed the accelerator to clear before an oncoming vehicle would have had to stop. Unprotected left turns are still not fully solved and are one of the few situations that still get my heart rate up.

There is zero room for error here. 😬 The ability for FSD v12.3 to judge if an opposing car is going to stop or go on a yellow light is exceptional. This left on yellow is one of the most risky maneuvers to execute and I’m so glad that the team has worked on getting this perfected. Tesla AI you guys rock!! Still little quirks to improve like moving forward more in the middle of the intersection and following through a left on yellow behind a lead car but this is really promising! Elon Musk Tezmeeinc

I’ve noticed a new behavior in FSD version 14.2.2.2: when approaching an intersection from a single dedicated left-turn lane, the car occasionally completes the turn into the second lane from the left rather than the leftmost lane, which is what most drivers typically do. Interestingly it is legal to do so in California.

In Belgium, you’re legally required to stay in the right lane on highways when there’s no traffic. Many drivers ignore this and hog the middle or left lane like seen in this video and yes, you can get fined for it. Tesla FSD does it perfectly: it automatically merges back to the right when the lane is clear. Overtaking on the right is strictly forbidden (with even bigger fines)

Tesla giving FSD 14.3.3 driving modes names like “Sloth” and “Mad Max” is hilarious until you actually watch the difference. Choose from Sloth, Chill, Standard, Hurry, and Mad Max modes. And yes, Mad Max drives exactly how the name sounds: confident lane changes, aggressive merging, faster traffic flow, and decisive movement through busy streets. Older FSD versions sometimes drove like a nervous student seeing traffic for the first time. Mad Max feels like FSD drank espresso and finally trusts itself. The weird part? People are now debating which personality profile they want their car to have. Tesla
