A "very grave medical condition"? From their FB post I see a ten year old full of life. How many years left is "very grave"? Is it more or less than five? I have stage 4 Non-Hodgkin lymphoma, the five-year survival rate for this is generally around 64%. Is that "very grave" too?

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says she is going to convince B.C. Premier David Eby to support a new oil pipeline through his province. "I know that he is on Team Canada and I can't imagine in the end that if we meet the issues that have been raised by British Columbia that he would go off Team Canada," says Smith. "That doesn't seem to me to be the type of person that David Eby is."

If the criticism were completely false, we would feel indifference, not pain. The pain of criticism often indicates that the words have struck a real but unconscious part of us. When something in us is hurt, it is a sign that our ‘I’ is meeting resistance from a truth we have not yet mastered. This doesn’t mean the critic is “right,” but that there’s a lesson or mirror hidden in the sting.

🇨🇦🛢️🏭 : BC Premier David Eby says he is open to building a refinery in British Columbia to cut off imports of oil & gas from the USA. He announced this after being asked if he would lift the tanker ban across the Northern BC Coast. Eby says the TMX expansion is not being utilized at capacity and thus he sees no need for a new taxpayer funded pipeline. David also says there is no offer from the private sector to build a pipeline. Enbridge wanted to build the Northern Gateway pipeline 10 years ago. We also had a private offer to build a multi billion $ refinery in Kitimat. Both projects were cancelled because Justin Trudeau & David Eby made it impossible for private investors. In the case of the Northern Gateway pipeline, Justin Trudeau cancelled it in 2016 despite that line having First Nation consent & billions in equity shares in the line. Something I have posted about repeatedly, including a few days ago. Enbridge also spent $1 billion on consultations and environmental impact assessments, only to have the new Liberal government ax the project anyways. Once the BC NDP came to power, they made it next to impossible for a refinery project to be built by ensuring the process would cost far too much, while having too much uncertainty, to be viable. We lost a decade of prosperity because of Justin Trudeau's Liberals & the BC NDP pushing their self serving agendas. Only to now watch David Eby backtrack 10 years later. This should infuriate everyone. We could have had that refinery built by now and be domestically benefitting from & exporting premium jet fuel, gasoline, diesel & various types of crude. The reality is, David Eby is a failure & should be stepping down so a competent government can take over.

Thank you Global BC and Keith Baldrey for covering this story. ‘It’s All the Court’s Fault’ is the latest iteration of blame and deflection from this NDP government. In 2021, rushed and without-debate legislation was brought in by Attorney General Eby to have the intended outcome that we saw in the Gitxaala decision in December 2025. Now to say that the court erred in judgement, and has no place in reconciliation is laughable, but not funny. The Supreme Court may not grant leave and may very well uphold the judgement related to a law written and introduced by none other than: ~David Eby This unfolding story could literally be a Netflix Thriller. #bcpoli

British Columbia David Eby is blaming everyone but himself that Nutrien has decided to export out of the US than BC: "The Nutrien decision gets me agitated. Instead of Premier Scott Moe calling me up, engaging with me about this huge billion dollar decision whether to ship potash out of British Columbia or out of Washington state he was engaging with Danielle Smith on this nonexistent pipeline project. I didn't hear from the federal government about the Nutrien decision." Eby is toxic & anti-business approach of attacking everyone while businesses and people might be losing their lands and is surprised that capital isn't choosing BC. The fact that he isn't even in the 'know' of what is going on in the business world should also tell you how bad his advisors are.

I asked one of the leading scholars on China's political system, Victor Shih (Victor Shih), how likely is it that China invades Taiwan this decade: "Clearly [Xi's] desire to achieve [reunification] is not so strong that he would take a very risky gamble. Because if that were the case, he would have done it already. He's been in power for 12 years. From his other policymaking we know that he's not a reckless policymaker." I pushed back, and asked whether Zero-COVID indicates that Xi is in fact recklessness. Perhaps the reason Xi hasn't done it yet is that he wants to consolidate the self-sufficiency he's been pursuing over recent years. Full episode out tomorrow.
