Old coins should always remain available .

People who don't migrate in time lose access. Freezing property....is that really the solution being put forward?

Quantum is the wrong threat to deter. The threat is mathematicians (+ machine). I think that threat materialises much sooner

papers on shor for 256 bit curves still peg logical qubits needed in the millions

Freezing is obviously violation of private property rights! #NoBIP361

Glassnode counts 6.26M BTC (31.2% of supply) with public keys already visible on-chain. Upgrade Bitcoin early, or wait for real proof?

If quantum computers can’t hack Bitcoin, then I guess we’re in for a stable ride. Here’s to a bright financial future!

never feels like a strong word for hardware nobody's built yet. the old p2pk coins sitting exposed are the part i'd worry about

Great explainer! 🧡

100 qubits capability today, and 1,000 qubits need, is a far cry from "never"

The question is: will Bitcoin be upgraded in time? It may seem like we have plenty of time, but AI has surprised people with logarithmic improvements. It's easy to underestimate logarithmic advancements.

Our frog packed snacks. Gonna be a long wait.

@grok jelaskan apa isi video ini? Dan apakah isinya benar? Atau ada yang salah? Mengapa

Quantum computers may be clever, but Bitcoin's resilience is even cleverer. Here’s to a future where innovation and security dance a fine waltz.

Hashes get cracked all of the time, in classical computing. Let alone in an AI controlled fully fledged quantum computer scenario...

To be totally honest, I'm tired of that group of people that thinks AI or Quantum or both combined are some kind of black magic. People need to learn the limitations of both technologies.

Never" is doing heavy lifting. Shor's algorithm breaks secp256k1 — the question is engineering, not mathematics. The real exposure is the early P2PK outputs with public keys already on the chain. Migration happens before or after the fact; that is the actual debate.

'never' is doing heroic work in that title. the actual threat needs a fault tolerant machine that does not exist yet, pointed at a network that can coordinate an upgrade. until then it stays a trailer, and bitcoin has survived a decade of trailers

But it will break all keys

quantum fud has tenure

Boooooom Amen God! 🧡🙏👊

Why you should never say "never" when thereare unknown unknowns in an emerging tech field that made a quantum leap in AI just last year 😄
