"ABSOLUTE RUBBISH" | Willie O'Connor HITS OUT at decision to hand top four seeds a bye "It's a good job that those boys that are seeded into the second round are in that second round because I don't think four would come through. "Put those boys in the same round as us. I think everyone in the World Cup should be in the same draw. If it's the World Cup every single person in the world should be in the same draw. "First round! It's either a World Cup or it's not. It's ridiculous, second round at the World Cup. I don't agree with that. "I think that's absolute...rubbish. I think it's absolutely rubbish. You wouldn't see it in any other sport and I don't think it should be in darts. "Just because it's first to four [they] get those boys into the next round. Put those boys into the same round as us, see how they do under pressure because we're under serious pressure here today." #Darts

🗣️ Jon Rahm Rodriguez on his 2026 PGA Championship performance QUESTION: What do you take out of today, this round, and just your general reflections on how the day went. RAHM: "I played really good golf. That's the only way to look at it. Just wish I'd have done better with the speed of the greens. Just couldn't seem to get it to the hole, and that's the reason why I didn't hole any more putts" "Even though, even so, what Aaron did today, catching him could have been very difficult. I don't know if could happen, but I would have liked a better chance playing the last two holes. I feel like I was still close on that play 16 until he made that long putt" "As far as I'm concerned, to be in the mix again and hit it as good as I did and perform as well as I did this weekend, it's been a great week. Four rounds and a par, even par, can't really ask too much more of myself. Just maybe obviously hole in a few more putts, which is not an easy task over here on these greens" #PGAChamp | Legion XIII

"I think we've got to truly have a 'we've got nothing to lose' mentality. If that's how we feel, it's got to be obvious. If you're out there as a player, you should feel like, 'oh, yeah, let's go.' Even on the TV, I feel like y'all should see that. As a fanbase watching the team and the media, y'all should be able to tell we're playing like we have nothing to lose. I don't think that was evident today. I think that's where we've got to... we're 0-6. Let's let it fly. I'll say that." - Garrett Wilson

🎙️ : “carlos sainz had some lovely things to say about you [..] he said that you're the most open driver on the grid, but that in the modern world, sometimes people can use that against you. how important is it to you to be this open book that you are?” lando: “that's tricky. i don't know if it's about importance. it's not like i'm trying to be like this because i think it's important. i'm just being myself and i'd rather be myself than try to be something i'm not. i'd rather do what i enjoy in my life and feel like i've just done what i feel like i should have done in my life than try to pretend i'm someone else or try to pretend like i'm the racing driver that everyone thinks you need to be or should be. a lot of people like to set these stereotypes and some things are probably right and along better lines. for me, i just want to enjoy my time here. i work hard. i do everything i can to win races and try to be the best. but that's it. other than that, i'm here to enjoy my life, share it with others and try to stand on the top step and that's as simple as i try and keep it”

Breece Hall was asked how he stays positive with the Jets at 0-7: "It's hard. We've been kind of in this for going on four years now, being in this organization. You feel it from the fans. You feel it around the building. You feel it everywhere, you feel it as soon as you leave the locker room. At the end of the day, we all have something to play for, whether it's family, whether it's a self-motivated thing. I feel like, if you're not motivated to come to work every day and get better, play for your teammates, your coaches, play for your family or even other reasons other than that, then you shouldn't be in this league."

Right now globally, as we speak, we've got basically about sixty to eighty days. If you just shut down oil everywhere, the world has on the water and in reserves about two months of oil. So every day that we have twenty-two percent going through the strait shut down, it's drawing down slowly all strategic reserves and the oil that's on the water in tankers. If this is going to be a prolonged situation, it'll be bad outcome. In talking just with investors as a result of this war, we're gonna be spending a whole ton of money on new inexpensive drone technology and a ton of money on AI because this war has all been done using technology. This is a tech war and it gives you a kind of an idea of what it would look like if China acted up and they wanted to take out Taiwan. We've got to get ready with more AI.

💬 Bryson DeChambeau on the U.S. Open... BRYSON: "I always felt like my game was prepped for the U.S. Open for some reason. My ball striking was really good. I putted well on fast greens, slopey greens. I felt like it was the most open and fair championship for tough golf out there, that every week it could be anybody's week, right? And I think it's the difficult part about professional golf is that no matter if you're playing the best golf of your life, you can go up there and not play your best." "As long as I stay focused on the golf course at hand and the shot at hand, give myself the best opportunity to win by executing the best shots and feeling the most comfortable, that's what I'm going to do. "I think it's more of who can persevere the most, who has the most resilience. I think that's what's so beautiful about U.S. Open is that stuff's going to get thrown at you pretty hard, and it's not going to be easy to combat those issues. And I think the one that is the most resilient usually goes on top. #USOpen | Crushers GC

Pete Carroll says winning championships was never actually the point “It isn’t about winning the championship. It’s not about that. As soon as you win it, it’s over with. It’s in your back pocket. You’ve already done that.” “That’s not the motivator. The motivator is to be the best you can possibly be. That’s ongoing. It never ends. I’m not a big goals guy.” “Goals, you achieve them. To me, I want ongoing, never-ending aspirations of being great at what you’re doing. There is no one game that is the only game. There is no one accomplishment that’s the only accomplishment.” “Can you come back again? Is that really who you are? Is that worth fighting for?” “Can you be true to yourself? Can you really be yourself under all circumstances? No matter what happens, when you get your ass whipped in the freaking Super Bowl, when you had two in a row and you’re two seconds from doing it again, can you come back after that moment and still be who you are?” “That was what the challenge was to me. As hard as that looked, as hard as it felt, and as hard as it was on all the people around me, I took it like this: ‘Okay, you knew this was going to happen sometime.’ ‘Are you going to be the real deal or not?’”

Sylvester Stallone says he wrote the original Rocky script in three and a half days Sistine: "But obviously it worked out, you wrote the script in three days? Four days?" Sylvester: "Three and a half days" "I tell young people that want to be writers, don't get so hung up on the perfection. Know that 90 percent of it is garbage" "The fact that you got through, that's amazing, that you actually got a beginning, middle, and then, no matter how flawed, that's the hard part, because 90 percent of the writers, they go up to about page 80 and they burn out, they don't have that finale. If you happen to have an ending, you're home free"

Larry Wheels almost CRASHED OUT on Clavicular for saying he should do whatever he wants 😬 "At the end of the day, you're the man in the relationship. You're, you know, bringing all the bread to the table. It's like, you shouldn't have to be allowed to do anything. You should be able to do whatever you want, right?" "Well, I think, if that's your mindset, you're gonna have a hard time in a relationship. I mean, we've been making this work for five years now, two years married, and if that was my mindset, she would not be here today."

"It's surprising, but you go through these things. Maybe this is a bit extreme, probably. It doesn't help facing two of the best in the game the last two days. You could be swinging the bat well and run into those guys and they're kind of like a buzzsaw. I don't really got much to say other than can't explain it and we'll keep on working to figure it out." - Bo Bichette
