Yesterday Google confirmed quantum computers will break crypto cryptography. Their deadline is 2029. This threat is real & we must act now. $DGB is already significantly more resilient than $BTC & $ETH is by far in the worst shape. Here's how we fully quantum harden DigiByte:

You are the true king of crypto. You are always aware, fighting for precautions. While people are not even aware of some of their needs, you provide for them before they even realize it. I applaud you from the bottom of my heart. @jaredctate 👏👏👏

@DigiByteWorld "True values are always recognized late." ⏳ While everyone chases the hype, those who quietly build fortresses will remain standing when the storm hits. 🛡️ Quantum armor, reserve power, and pure code... The future is hidden in what is ignored today. 💎 | #DigiByte #Algorand

Impacts to TLS/SSL, PKI, National Infrastructure (energy grids, water treatment, transportation networks, manufacturing, etc), Govt OPSEC/National Security, Banking Networks, ATMs, Cloud/DataSet Infrastructure, IoT devices is much more worrisome thank blockchain risks imo.

This would allow you to bypass Chicago Board of Trade delays by settling corn/soy futures instantly on DGB with quantum-safe multi-sig wallets. Farmers would hedge in real time via mobile. Do you realize how big this would be? My head is spinning... Great work, great thoughts, Jared.

Algorand put a hard deadline on the quantum threat While most chains publish research, Algorand published a schedule: native post-quantum accounts arrive this quarter, with the network fully quantum-resistant by the end of 2027. Falcon signatures already protect its chain history today. With Google research suggesting encryption-breaking machines could arrive by 2029, Algorand is running years ahead of the deadline. $ALGO

Quantum computers pose two threats to Bitcoin: Threat 1: A quantum computer will be built and used to break Bitcoin's cryptography. Threat 2: Even before a QC is built, delaying the preparations to ensure Bitcoin is quantum ready will lead to people losing confidence in Bitcoin. The solution to both threats: ensure Bitcoin becomes quantum resistant via initiatives like BIP 360 + make sure the world knows this will be taken care of in time.

Today is World Quantum Day! A great reminder that quantum's impact on cryptography isn't theoretical, it's only a matter of time. To mark the occasion, CEO StaciW_DC sat down with world-renowned post-quantum cryptographer and Algorand CSO Chris Peikert to discuss the quantum threat to blockchain. Since 2022, Algorand has been leading in blockchain quantum resilience by securing its entire chain history with Falcon-signed State Proofs. In 2025, we took it further: the first quantum-resistant transaction protecting real digital assets was executed on mainnet. With Google now targeting 2029 for its own post-quantum migration, the urgency is clear. Algorand isn't waiting, we're already building for that future. Watch now! 👇

Here is my short answer: privacy, post-quantum. - privacy, institutions can adopt - cryptography, quantum computers can't break Most of what gets built on top of crypto in the next cycle depends on both. This is my target for EASY Residency S5 EASY Residency

Is quantum computing a threat to Bitcoin? I did some research on this topic and here's my conclusion: Quantum computing will EVENTUALLY break Bitcoin's security, but not any time soon By the time it's a serious threat, Bitcoin will be upgraded

🚨WEF WARNS QUANTUM COMPUTERS WILL BREAK BITCOIN ENCRYPTION! The World Economic Forum highlighted that quantum computers at scale will break $BTC’s encryption layer. Rebecca Krauthamer of QuSecure notes they won’t drain all Bitcoin at once, but small changes will add up over time, and the biggest threat is human inaction rather than the machines themselves. She advises keeping assets only in systems supporting quantum-safe encryption.

In cybersecurity, preparing for a threat after it arrives means you are already too late. Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) is the global effort to collaboratively implement new algorithms before quantum risks scale.
