Thanks - the other robot is fully teleoperated for the purpose of collecting data from your home. This is our more compact model :) We might give it a body with arms sticking out, cam and light as the head, and compute in the back - it would drive up the price significantly

My kids are going to be so angry when I tell them they can no longer earn $5 a week folding their laundry. If they want their allowance they'll have to learn to code or something.

I almost bought one. It’s just too much stuff to put in one’s homes. Since I’ve had kids I actually just don’t fold clothes anymore. If this actually picked up clothes, washed them in the washer, dried them and sorted them into closets I would buy it instantly.

That is probably down the line in some later version but if you have kids then this is ideal for that volume. This should fit in your laundry room - we can probably attach a folding table to it so that it literally folds and easy to put away when not in use.

$1500 is a bit hard to justify for just a single chore. If 2-3 core chores like making food and doing dishes can also be done using community support I am sure this will sell like hotcakes. Amazing work nonetheless! 👏

I just mean that for many applications in the future it'd probably be better to up the price point and get rid of the clearly visible wobble and backlash.

What else can it do in addition to laundry?

Wash your dishes straight from the sink to drying rack - that work is still in progress

Would users be able to easily train these to do new tasks that you haven't pretrained it to do?

They don’t need to - the robot comes with AI for your household and commercial tasks

I love the work. But respectfully, that video shows the left arm just dumping the “folded” items off screen. Either the video needs to show the final product - or one has to assume it’s more of a “laundry sorter”
