Yep Blizz will DMCA and take you down for private servers. I tried back in 2016 along with Soda. Within like hour of playing on private server we got taken down then we got scolded at by Blizzard. Unforch but they take that shit seriously especially if you're known. Tbh Kick might be best bet they have tons of Private server streams there. Not sure if blizzard cares enough to DMCA kick streamers

Everyone knows Ascension WoW right now is the best version of classic and classic+. Streamers are in fear of their accounts getting struck by big bad blizzard if they're to stream the far superior version of their game. With over 64,669 players currently online in Ascension right now between all the servers and with Conquest of Azeroth releasing, it's been highly successful and has shown that even a small group of people could create a better quality than what blizzard could for classic in the past 10 years. (10years being how long Ascension's been around) There are so many people playing on CoA right now that they're needing to add multiple instances of phasing just so people aren't completely overcrowded.

obviously everyone agrees with this, but the unfortunate reality is unless you're disgustingly entertaining as a streamer, WoW streamers will bleed viewership on any other game and grudgingly return back to wow. Not a reality I enjoy, just a pattern ive noticed. I do wish more streamers protested though, it would be more effective then 1 person doing it every 3-4 months or so, then getting out paced by blizzard doing literally nothing and their audience bleeding away.

@Jokereed CoA did something blizzard can't undo with a lawsuit or a shutdown. They showed the players what is possible. I know it is copium. But the old blizz would have said "yo guys, this is a cool product.. you clearly have passion, how about you join the family" @WatcherDev

@Jokereed Buddy wants to play Ascension sooo bad... And I can't blame him. Spent hundreds or even thousands of hours into that server. Played from S3-9, had maxxed out Classic and TBC Chars, played COA Alpha till 50 on every class... But with the current law suite, Idk man.

@Jokereed I aged out of MMO’s. I don’t have the time to play them anymore. I do miss the feeling i got playing everquest and wow. I haven’t fel tgat dopamine drug in 20 years.
