Since then, we’ve knocked on every legal door, exhausted every lawful means to secure their release. According to the law, their detention period ended on June 22. Bibarg Baloch’s was due to end on June 25. Under 3MPO, a Review Board including the Chief Justice and senior judges must convene, review their case, and personally hear them. But no such board was ever formed. We repeatedly asked: on what legal grounds are they still imprisoned after June 22? The only response we received were baseless excuses that the ‘situation outside isn’t suitable,’ so they are being held for 15 more days. We challenged this, no individual has that authority. Only a formal Review Board can decide. Still, no official notification was provided. Our time was wasted. We went to the jail and waited the entire day. When we insisted, they finally brought a document but strictly forbade us from copying or photographing it. We were shown nothing official. No Review Board ever met. This is a completely illegal act. Under such lawlessness, even breathing has become unsafe. These black laws are suffocating us all.” She appeals to lawyers, human rights organizations, the Baloch public, and all political voices of conscience: Rise. Speak. Act. Raise your voice for the immediate release of BYC leadership. #ReleaseBYCLeaders #StopBalochGenocide

Dr. Sabiha Baloch, Central Leader of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), addressed a seminar on International Human Rights Day, highlighting that while the UDHR guarantees fundamental rights to all, the Baloch nation is denied even the basic right to life. She stressed that in times of severe state oppression, Baloch people must preserve their ideology, spread awareness, and strengthen unity starting from their families and communities. She stated that the denial of rights stems from the occupying power’s dehumanization of the Baloch, valuing the land over its indigenous people. According to her, the state uses violence, fear, tribal conflicts, and narcotics to suppress the population, and the nation must reclaim its humanity. Reflecting on last year’s Baloch National Gatherings, she said the events demonstrated the strength of unity. Despite this, the state has imprisoned BYC members for nine months on fabricated charges and continues enforced disappearances, torture, night raids, and forced displacements across Balochistan. Dr. Sabiha urged society to expose and socially boycott collaborators and state-backed death squads who divide the community and aid oppression. In closing, she called on all segments of Baloch society to work collectively to end violence and genocide, raise their voices for the disappeared, and continue resistance until the Baloch regain unity, humanity, and control over their land. #InternationalHumanRightsDay #StopBalochGenocide
