AOC’s stunt today: She held up jars of murky... brown water in a congressional hearing, claiming it’s “drinking water from Georgia” ruined by Meta’s data center construction. She demanded EPA and Congressional investigations, saying “we cannot take water for granted.” Zero proof was provided linking the sediment to the data center. Meta says they use only utility water, and an independent study found no impact on groundwater. She could’ve filled those jars herself with dirty water from anywhere and no one would know. A New York congresswoman grandstanding on Georgia water issues… classic. How’s the water in NYC in AOC’s district these days? Is this legitimate oversight or just another anti-Big-Tech fear campaign? 👀 (Video: AI)show more

How is this possible in Rwanda after 32 years... of FPR-Inkotanyi leadership, President Paul Kagame ? In parts of City of Kigali , citizens are reportedly forced to collect water from polluted drainage channels because clean water is either unavailable or unaffordable. Some reportedly pay up to 1,500 RWF for a single jerrycan, despite concerns that the water may be contaminated. Access to clean water is a basic human right, not a privilege. Gary Robertson has claimed that NHS Glasgow & Clyde... admitted there was a causal link between the water system and some of the deaths at the Queen Elizabeth hospital. This is completely false. An on air apology and correction is needed at the earliest opportunity. The Health board admitted there was a causal link between contaminated water and some *infections*, not some deaths. BBC Scotland is completely out of control with this story now. In the first video, people in Donetsk are seen... greeting a water tanker. In the second video, during the rain, people try to collect at least a drop of water because the water pipeline from the Siverskyi Donets was destroyed by the Russians. When Donetsk was not occupied by Russia, the city hosted the European Football Championship, as well as concerts by Rihanna and Beyoncé. Now, there is no more running water in the city. According to the schedule, water only appears in taps once every three days, and even then it doesn’t reach every household, so water has to be delivered by tankers, with long queues forming for it. People use plastic bags as toilets, and this filth spreads everywhere. This is happening not only in Donetsk - water is supplied once every two days in a number of other cities, including Mariupol. This is how Russia 'liberated' Donbas. Why is this happening? In the past three and a half years - since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 - reservoirs in Donetsk Oblast have significantly dried up. The water supply system from the Siverskyi Donets River was destroyed. The region’s reservoirs and underground water sources are not enough to meet the needs of the population, in part due to the extensive network of coal mines. When the self-proclaimed “DPR” and “LPR” were created in 2014, Ukraine did not cut off this water channel, as it was still supplying water to Mariupol, which remained under Ukrainian control. But at the start of the Russian invasion in February 2022, the situation changed: the Russian army, during its offensive, destroyed a unique hydraulic structure that had supplied the region’s largest cities with water. The Russian authorities decided to build a new canal - the Don–Donbas canal - which was supposed to begin in the Rostov-on-Don area. It soon became clear that the new water pipeline, first of all, could not provide the region with the necessary amount of water, and second, it was built with numerous violations, with a large portion of the budget embezzled during construction. Crimea is also suffering from a water shortage, and the situation is worsening. One of the reasons why Russia is striving to seize southern Ukraine is that it sees this as a way to "solve the water issue" for the occupied territories.show more

This is how bad and pathetic the water situation... in Zimbabwe’s capital city, Harare, has become. A borehole is being drilled on Kaguvi Street, outside HT Tyres. This is what corruption does to a country, central government controls everything in councils, resulting in this collapse. In cities like Harare, the need for boreholes reflects how corruption and central government interference have crippled local authorities, stripping them of the capacity to provide basic services. Boreholes in central business districts indicate that the municipal water supply system has failed. In a functioning city, clean and reliable piped water should be standard, particularly in central areas. Most of Harare, including the most affluent areas, does not receive piped water at all. The Water Act clearly states that Central Government (ZANUPF Government) should build dams! This has not been done due to rampant historic corruption. Harare and its dormitory towns rely on Lake Chivero, which was constructed by the colonial government in 1952 to provide clean drinking water for Harare and its surrounding areas, with a total population of 300,000 people. Today, it serves the Harare metropolitan area and satellite towns such as Chitungwiza, Epworth, Norton, and Ruwa with a total population of around 4.5 million people. The same lake that provides drinking water also receives untreated sewage. Residents have resorted to boreholes, sadly, something the last colonial ruler Ian Smith predicted would happen. How tragic that predictions once dismissed as racist have now come to pass.show more

NEW: Underwater IED detonated after it was found at... an Alabama reservoir that is the sole drinking water source for about 350,000 people. The bomb was reportedly discovered during routine maintenance. Mobile Area Water and Sewer System (MAWSS) Director Bud McCrory says the discovery is "an unprecedented threat" to the drinking water. "We are fortunate that this device was discovered before it could cause serious damage to our water supply or harm to individuals," he said. The bomb is being described as a "grenade-type IED" and was detonated with help from personnel with the FBI Bomb Squad. MAWSS is currently investigating when and how the bomb got into the reservoir. ICE Facility Officer Rape. David Courvelle, 56, was an... officer at the South Louisiana ICE Processing Center. He pled guilty to a federal sex-abuse charge involving a woman in custody. This is what abuse of power looks like inside ICE detention facilities: a locked system, a captive woman, and a guard using total control for sexual access.
