Your jawline isn’t fat. It’s often tension + trapped... fluid. Most people carry stress in the jaw, tongue, neck, and face all day long. Clenching. Mouth breathing. Fight-or-flight. Over time the fascia tightens and the face changes. This simple movement helps decompress the jaw, stimulate lymphatic flow, and calm the nervous system.show more

Normalise RDL as a main movement. The Romanian Deadlift... (RDL) or Heavy Barbell Hip Hinge is a powerhouse exercise that has gained a lot of popularity among strength and conditioning coaches, powerlifters, and bodybuilders alike. This movement is often called an “athlete maker" in my mind due to its ability to build strength, muscle mass, and athleticism in both men and women. One of the primary reasons why the RDL is so effective for athletes is because it is triphasic, for the uninitiated meaning it involves three distinct phases of muscle action: eccentric, isometric, and concentric. During the eccentric phase, the lifter is lowering the weight, which creates tension and stress on the muscles, leading to greater muscle damage and adaptation. The isometric phase occurs when the lifter pauses at the bottom of the lift, holding the weight in a static position, which increases the time under tension and helps to build strength and stability. Finally, during the concentric phase, the lifter raises the weight, activating the muscles in a way that promotes greater hypertrophy. Compared to a traditional deadlift off the floor, the RDL places a greater emphasis on the posterior chain, specifically the proximal hamstring, glutes, and erector spinae muscles. The lift also engages the distal hamstring muscles in a nearly fully extended position, promoting greater muscle activation and strengthening. The RDL is an excellent way to develop strength and hypertrophy in these muscle groups, leading to improved overall athletic performance, including greater power, speed, and explosiveness. Given the numerous benefits of the RDL, it should be a main movement in any training program that aims to improve strength, muscle mass, and overall athletic performance. Incorporating heavy barbell hip hinge movements, such as the RDL, into your training regimen can help to promote better posture, improved mobility, and greater overall strength and athleticism. So, whether you are a powerlifter, bodybuilder, or athlete, consider adding the RDL to your training program to take your strength and athleticism to the next level.show more

Back massage is not only a relaxing practice, but... also an effective support method for the musculoskeletal system and neurohormonal balance. In daily life, the back area is one of the areas where the most tension accumulates due to posture, stress, and muscle strain. The controlled pressure applied during the massage provides relaxation in muscle fibers, increases regional blood circulation, and supports oxygenation to the tissues. This process also reduces muscle spasms, contributing to the alleviation of pain. Physiologically, the effects of massage are not only local. Systemic effects such as a decrease in stress hormones like cortisol, an increase in endorphin and serotonin levels, and an increase in parasympathetic activity in the autonomic nervous system provide both physical and mental relaxation. The most frequently observed benefits are: Reduced muscle stiffness, relief from back and neck pain, improved circulation, improved sleep quality, general relaxation, and reduced stress. Incorrect technique or excessive pressure can lead to: trauma to muscle tissue, increased existing pain, and soft tissue damage. Situations requiring attention: Acute muscle injuries, serious spinal pathologies, infections, or febrile conditions. In such cases, an assessment should be made before applying massage. In summary, the effectiveness of massage comes not from the intensity of the pressure, but from the correctness of the application. Therefore, it is very important to have massages performed in places where the correct application is carried out.show more

🪱 EVERYONE DEWORMS… EXCEPT AMERICA Most people have no... clue what’s actually living inside them. There are 3 main types of parasites: 🔹 Protozoa (like amoebas) 🔹 Helminths (tapeworms, flukes, roundworms) 🔹 Ectoparasites (lice, mites, etc.) Let’s talk about the nastiest ones 👇 🐍 TAPEWORMS • Can grow over 30 feet long • Latch onto your gut wall + steal nutrients • Lay eggs that exit your body • Can live up to 30 YEARS inside you 🦠 LIVER FLUKES • Invade your nervous system, liver, and lungs • Often go undetected for 10–20 years • Can cause seizures, cysts, organ damage, and allergic reactions How do you get them🤔? From: ✔️Contaminated water and soil ✔️Sushi or undercooked meat ✔️Pets that have not been dewormed ✔️ unwashed produce Most people don’t notice symptoms until it’s too late. But here’s what to watch for: ❗ Common Parasite Symptoms • Brain fog, headaches • Teeth grinding, jaw tension • Anxiety, mood swings • Skin rashes, eczema, psoriasis • Bloating, IBS, gut issues • Iron deficiency or anemia • Dark under-eye circles • Joint pain, fatigue • Poor sleep • Constant hunger (but never satisfied) 👉 If you have 3 or more of these… It’s probably parasites. ⏳ It’s Time to Detox the body & Flush out Parasites. There is not a muscle on the body that... needs high reps to see its best growth. This is basic physiology. Yes, muscles vary in their ratio of slow to fast twitch fibres. It doesn't matter, for two reasons: 1. Slow twitch fibres reach their ceiling early. They are not the limiting factor. 2. As you approach failure, every fibre is recruited regardless. The body does not leave capacity sitting idle when it thinks it's about to fail. Here is what actually drives hypertrophy: involuntary slow contractions. The point in a set where the concentric is grinding, the bar speed is dropping, and the muscle is being forced to recruit everything it has just to complete the rep. That is mechanical tension. That is the growth signal. It only exists in the final five or so reps before failure. Everything before that is your body coasting on the fibres it was already using. Some muscles tolerate high reps better than others. Calves are the classic example. But tolerating junk reps is not the same as benefiting from them. It just means the damage is less visible. The reps are still junk. If you are living in the 8-plus rep range, most of your set is happening nowhere near that zone of involuntary contraction. You are accumulating fatigue, impairing recovery, reducing training frequency, and spending more time under the bar: in exchange for a growth stimulus you could have captured in a fraction of the reps. More reps past the point of failure proximity is not more stimulus. It is just more cost.show more

8-12 reps per set is for hypertrophy That’s the... pump fake everyone feel for. Shame on the “industry” The primary driver of hypertrophy is mechanical tension. They say the reps near failure matter most, but they never say why. Reps near failure matter most because they recruit your bigger stronger type II muscle fibers which is needed for hypertrophy In a set of 8-12, towards the end, your smaller weaker type I fibers start to fatigue forcing your body to recruit those type II fibers What they don’t tell you is you can optimize both mechanical tension and motor recruitment simply by lifting heavier weights for less reps per set. Adding weight you start the set near failure and recruit those type II fibers from the first rep. You avoid the junk volume 3x10 is not 3x10. It’s 30 reps. 10x3 is also 30 reps. Except you’re using MUCH more weight and most if not all reps are near failure. Oh and by the way, the nature of lifting heavier weights you also get much stronger than only doing 3x10. You say the studies show that you high and low rep ranges produce “similar” hypertrophy??? No, those studies are very misleadingshow more

Your baby needs a little tummy time daily. Yesterday... I wrote about crawling, noting that with sleep recommendations now (wisely) advising infants sleep only on their backs, babies are spending less and less time in a downward facing position - making it all the more important that parents build well supervised tummy time into their daily routines. Tummy time has many benefits. Primary among them, it strengthens the back, neck and arm muscles that help with holding up the head, rolling over, sitting and crawling. It also helps to decrease the incidence of flat spots on the back of your baby’s head. And it can help relieve gas and constipation, just to name a few. You can begin short, supervised periods of tummy time as soon as your child is born. These earliest sessions often begin on mom’s chest - but can be done on other safe surfaces as well. Begin with 2-3 minutes at a time and work your way up. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends increasing the frequency and duration of these sessions to the point your baby spends a total of 20-30 minutes a day by the time your baby is 7 weeks old. Be forewarned that, especially early on, tummy time is a workout (and therefore not always well liked by some children) - but with time and experience will help to develop the muscle strength your newborn lacks. This little one (shared to IG by enjoybabyss) has got tummy time down pat. Check out those strong neck muscles!show more

"How long should I rest between sets?" Until you... can hit the same weight for the same reps with the same quality. That is the answer. That has always been the answer. The answer is not 60 seconds. The answer is not 90 seconds. The answer is not whatever the timer on your watch app says. If you are doing heavy compounds, that might be 3 to 5 minutes. Sometimes longer. The exercise does not care about your podcast schedule. It needs the central nervous system to be ready and the muscles to be loaded again. Rushing rest periods is one of the great unforced errors in training. You sacrifice load, sacrifice reps, sacrifice tension, and convince yourself you have done a hard session because you sweated. You have done a cardio session with weights. They are not the same. Sit down. Breathe. Let the heart settle. Then lift the next set heavy enough to justify the wait.show more

Rest periods under 90 seconds serve exactly one purpose:... keeping your heart rate up so the session feels productive. Your muscles do not care about your heart rate. They care about mechanical tension. Which requires being fresh enough to lift a challenging weight on the next set. Rest 3 minutes. Lift heavy. Grow. Or rest 60 seconds, stay half-cooked, lift lighter than you should, and tell yourself the burn is the point. One is training. The other is cardio with a barbell prop. The man pacing the gym in compression shorts, panting between sets, glancing at his watch every fifteen seconds, has confused tiredness with progress. He's done a great job at being tired. The man on the next machine, sat on a bench scrolling his phone for three minutes between heavy sets of six, is the one whose shirt has stopped fitting in the shoulders. The body responds to the load on the bar. The body does not respond to your stopwatch.show more

When a man attempts to recite a boastful poem... to President Ahmed Al-Shara, you can clearly see the discomfort on the President’s face — he’s visibly uneasy, trying to silence the man so he can move on. Why? In the Islamic tradition, excessive praise—especially in someone's presence—is discouraged. This principle is rooted in humility and the avoidance of arrogance, both for the one praising and the one being praised. Several authentic hadiths highlight this: 📚 Hadith References Against Excessive Praise: 1. Sahih Muslim (Book 55, Hadith 76): The Prophet (s) said: “When you see those who shower excessive praise upon others, throw dust in their faces.” (Muslim 3002) — This was not a call for literal aggression, but a strong metaphor condemning sycophancy and flattery. 2. Sahih al-Bukhari (Book 78, Hadith 73): Narrated Abu Bakra: A man was mentioned in the presence of the Prophet (s), and another man praised him greatly. The Prophet (s) said: “Woe to you! You have cut your companion’s neck,” repeating it several times. “If one of you must praise, let him say: ‘I think so-and-so is such and such,’ if he truly thinks that, and ‘Allah is his Reckoner,’ and do not ascribe purity to anyone before Allah.” (Bukhari 6061) 3. Sahih Muslim (Book 32, Hadith 3000): Narrated by Miqdad: The Prophet (s) ordered us to throw dust in the faces of those who praise people to their faces. ✅ Why is it discouraged? It may lead to arrogance or delusion in the person being praised. It often becomes insincere or exaggerated, especially in front of rulers or people of status. True worth is only known to Allah, not based on public flattery. This explains why figures like President Ahmed Al-Shara, who adopt a posture of Islamic humility, may feel discomfort when praised openly or excessively. The reaction is rooted in prophetic etiquette.show more

It's beautiful to hear Kim Taehyung's ability to transition... between low, medium, and high registers, alternating between different tones, vocal techniques, and dynamics, delivering all of this on stage with grace and technical control, expressiveness, interpretation, and style. Taehyung, who possesses the widest vocal range and tessitura in BTS, goes from a C3 (dense edge register/chest voice, in “Love me Again”) to an E5 (flageolet register/thin edge, in “My Universe”), without tension or excessive vocal effort. His voice exhibits the strength and range of both vocal categories (baritone ↔ tenor). Technically, what allows Taehyung to explore these vocal possibilities is his vocal range and tessitura. He is what we call a “BARITENOR”. A baritenor is a type of male voice that combines characteristics of a baritone and a tenor, possessing a vocal tessitura that transitions between the low register of a baritone and the high register of a tenor, but with a generally darker, fuller, and richer timbre than that of a typical tenor. #KimTaehyung #V #Taehyungshow more

Facial reconstruction of a 7,000-year-old Neolithic farmer from Vedrovice,... Czech Republic The individual belonged to the Linear Pottery culture (LBK). The Linear Pottery people were an Early Neolithic farming population of Europe, genetically associated primarily with the Anatolian Barcın_N cluster, with little additional WHG ancestry. He was aged approximately 40–49 years. The skull shows a high, flat forehead; its shape does not exclude slight rickets. The arcus superciliaris is weakly developed, and the glabella is flat. The maxilla is strongly prognathic; a cyst is present in M1, while the alveoli of M2 and M3 are resorbed. The nose is narrow and high, and the orbits are medium-sized. The mandible is high, with a distinct chin. In the right P1, caries destroyed the entire crown, leaving only the dental root preserved. The squama temporalis shows a short supramastoid crest, and the mastoid processes are large and strong. Bone rims are present at the attachment sites of the short flexor muscles on the finger phalanges. The presence of nine carious teeth in an individual aged around 40 is exceptional for the Neolithic period, as is the considerably high degree of dental wear across all teeth. The teeth, especially the maxillary ones, are heavily covered with tartar. The occipital bone exhibits a coracoid-shaped protuberantia occipitalis externa at the inion. The planum nuchale is uneven, with pronounced attachment sites for the neck muscles. Anthropometric characteristics include ultradolichocrany, hypsicrany, acrocrany, eurymetopy, lepteny, hypsiconchy, leptorrhiny, prognathy, and a dolichostenomandibular form.
