With FSD v14.2.1.25, Hurry Mode is now perfect. Speed control is excellent, improved lane discipline (no left lane camping) and on the highway, there is no +10 cap anymore so it stays with the flow of traffic very well. So good.

V14.2.1 highway regression vs 14.1. In standard mode, FSD makes a maneuver into the left lane to pass a semi truck. Because they have jailed the speed limits of non mad max profiles, FSD cannot use acceleration to make this pass. So it ends up camping the left lane. In my right side view mirror, you can see someone coming up on my ass, and FSD is not getting back over. It’s also not speeding up to pass the semi because it is in speed jail. I had to scroll mad max to get through the maneuver. Def a regression from 14.1.

Tesla’s FSD has become really good at day-to-day driving, and it’s now performing like a human in very complex scenarios. Here’s video from last Friday, during afternoon rush hour. There’s a broken down pickup truck in the middle of the three open lanes in the Ville-Marie tunnel. Lights indicate that lane is closed. My car is in the leftmost lane, which suddenly also comes to a standstill, after police show up and an officer exits his vehicle and stops traffic. When it appears that the left lane will not start moving again, FSD moves my car two lanes over the right. 🤯 It then curves around a pothole in that lane, following how the car ahead handled it. 🤯 Honestly if it wasn’t for how bad Montreal roads are with potholes, I would hardly be driving myself at all.

This guy is using the left hand lane , which is open. There is a mile long backup and everyone is over in the right hand lane. He drives all the way up until he has to merge. Some people are saying what a jerk he is for not getting in line like everyone else, but a great many people are saying that the cars in the right lane merged into one lane too soon and that if they had used the left lane, instead of being a mile backup it would have been a half a mile backup. What’s your take? Do you think he was correct in using the left lane and merging up at the front or should he have merged right and got in line way in the back like everyone else?

If a vehicle is following in the adjacent lane at a safe distance and consistent speed, the ego car will often activate the turn signal and begin crossing the lane line before suddenly aborting the maneuver, pausing briefly, and then either proceeding with the lane change or abandoning it entirely. This behavior appeared in v14.2.1 and unfortunately persists in v14.2.1.25. While it is not a safety issue per se, it is definitely one that needs to be addressed, as it causes confusion and frustration for all surrounding drivers on the road when it occurs. Yesterday I drove to Cologne. Since FSD is still unavailable in Germany, I had to rely on Enhanced Autopilot (EAP) for the entire trip. Honestly, it was a disappointing experience. EAP makes frequent steering corrections, changes lanes poorly, and feels far less predictable and confidence-inspiring. On roads with unclear lane markings, it constantly wanders left and right, which doesn’t feel safe. After driving over 10,000 km with FSD, the difference is impossible to ignore. FSD drives much more naturally, stays smoother in its lane, and anticipates traffic far better. FSD needs to come to all of Europe as soon as possible. The difference in both comfort and safety is huge.

This video should be watched by all 145 crore people of this country. Zero lane discipline. Absolute chaos on roads. I stick to the middle lane, and people still try overtaking from the left like it’s normal. Buses & trucks hog the right lane. Bikes cruise in the middle. No rules, no logic, just survival. This isn’t traffic, it’s a daily gamble.

Don't you hate it when people block a designated FREE left lane? Instead of queuing up behind the existing line of vehicles they squeeze into the left lane which is free- just to get ahead by 10 meters, and block it for others taking a left turn. That is selfish driving. #RoadSafety

🚨 One thing that has frustrated me with Tesla Full Self-Driving is that I find it will sometimes change lanes to overtake a car, but the lane it changes into either ends or goes against the navigation (for example, it will change into a straight lane when it needs to be in a turn lane) Inevitably, it has to get back over before the lane ends or to get into the correct lane, and it ends up in the same place it was initially. This woman is using a bike lane as a walking lane as well. There is a car behind her trying to beat the traffic and driving in that lane. They are driving slowly behind her yelling at her to get out of the way and antagonizing her. She starts to record them because they are being reckless and have come close to hitting her and other cars. The car even cuts off the other cars as the lane is being blocked by a pole. I understand she’s mad because the car was where they weren’t supposed to be, however the bike lane is a bi-directional bike lane, it isn’t a bike lane on one side and a walking lane on the other. So who is wrong here, are they both wrong for using the bike lane when neither one is on a bike?

It seems that Republicans are trying to gaslight everyone into believing that Dayanne Figueroa rammed into an ICE agent’s car… So let’s break down the video, frame by frame. 1. This is Chicago… a dense, urban area with traffic in every direction. 2. The street is two-way… you can clearly see another car driving toward the camera. 3. The ICE agent, in an unmarked vehicle, is sitting in the road. 4. They then make a very wide turn… onto the left side of the road. 5. At this point, the agent is driving on the wrong side of the road. 6. The ICE agent, seemingly unaware of their surroundings (never ideal while driving in a major city), tries to enter the correct lane… without signaling, and without checking to see if someone’s already in that lane. 7. And it turns out, someone was already in that lane… Note: A federal agent, in an unmarked vehicle, does not have the right of way unless they have their 🚨 on. The ICE agent did NOT have their 🚨 on. 8. So, the ICE agent made an improper and unsafe lane change and hit Dayanne Figueroa’s car. 9.
