"The world has no right" Buddy, you had a peace agreement set up and you pushed aside. I'm not a fan of the US but blaming them after the billions given to you and the loss of Ukrainian lives is foolish. Zelensky, you should be in a mental asylum.

I respectfully disagree. You can have as many air defense systems as you want but if Russia's capacity to manufacture missiles, bombs and aircraft is not destroyed, it is a losing formula. Ukraine has to be able to strike deep into Russia with long-range weapons like ATACMS and TAURUS to destroy their capacity to to conduct air strikes which would be NATO's top priority should they be fighting Russia. The west needs to rethink the "don't attack Russia" policy NOW! Otherwise, Ukraine is just buying time until the inevitable happens. I welcomed German Foreign Minister @ABaerbock on her seventh visit to Ukraine since Russia's full-scale invasion began. I spoke about the frontline situation and Ukraine’s key defense needs. Every night and every day, they intercept Russian Shahed drones and missiles. This morning, they successfully shot down a Russian ballistic missile. Every success like this saves lives. Ukraine is deeply grateful to all our partners who provide interceptor missiles and air defense systems. We are currently working to secure additional supplies—missiles, defense systems, and everything necessary to strengthen our mobile fire groups. Our strategic goal is to reach a practical level of cooperation with our partners that allows us to produce the air defense systems and interceptor missiles we need here in Ukraine. This week, air raid alerts have sounded almost daily across Ukraine. Just last night, our air defense forces managed to shot down nearly 50 strike drones. Over the past week, Russia has launched more than 800 guided aerial bombs, around 460 strike drones, and over 20 missiles of various types against Ukraine and our people. Ukraine is not a testing ground for weapons. Ukraine is a sovereign and independent state. Yet, Russia persists in its attempts to destroy our people, sow fear and panic, and weaken us. Ukraine needs more air defense systems, and we are actively working with our partners on this. Strengthening the protection of our skies is absolutely critical. I thank everyone around the world who understands this and continues to stand with Ukraine.

Today, during our meeting with Dutch Prime Minister, we focused our discussion on strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, including new air defense systems and the missiles for them. We also talked about F-16s for Ukraine and all the necessary weapons for our defense against the Russian occupiers, including shells for our soldiers, essential equipment, and the protection of our energy infrastructure. I am grateful to the Netherlands for announcing a new assistance package for Ukraine. We also discussed the possibility of the Netherlands taking on a patronage role over Zaporizhzhia, which would involve supporting infrastructure, protecting normal life, and addressing humanitarian issues. This is something that will definitely help Ukraine, and we deeply appreciate all the support from the people of the Netherlands, from Prime Minister Schoof personally, and from all the political and public figures in the Netherlands. As of now, it is believed that more than 200 people were in the hypermarket. All the emergency services are already on the site and providing assistance, rescuing people, and extinguishing the fire that has completely engulfed the building – 10,000 square meters. There are killed and injured people. If Ukraine had sufficient air defense systems and modern combat aircraft, Russian strikes like this one would have been impossible. And that is why we appeal to all leaders, to all states: we need a significant enhancement of air defense and sufficient capabilities to destroy Russian terrorists. In just a few days between December 29th and now, Russia has used about 300 missiles and over 200 “Shahed” drones against Ukraine. Prior to Ukraine, no country in the world had ever successfully repulsed such combined attacks with the use of drones and missiles, including air-launched ballistic missiles. Only today, 10 Kinzhals were shot down. I am grateful to every warrior in our Air Forces, all fighters in mobile air defense groups, every anti-aircraft gunner, and everyone throughout the world who is assisting Ukraine by providing weapons to defend our skies. Each additional air defense system and missile saves more lives. It is here, in Ukraine, and with our air defense, that we must demonstrate that democracies are capable of protecting lives from all types of terror. If we fail to achieve this task in Ukraine now, Russian terror will further spread throughout Europe and beyond. The Russian leadership's sense of impunity, forged over decades of unrestricted authority, has already resulted in a lot of suffering and loss of life. Russia must confront the responsibility for taking lives as well as the power of those who protect them.

Only today, 10 Kinzhals were shot down. I am grateful to every warrior in our Air Forces, all fighters in mobile air defense groups, every anti-aircraft gunner, and everyone throughout the world who is assisting Ukraine by providing weapons to defend our skies. Each additional air defense system and missile saves more lives. It is here, in Ukraine, and with our air defense, that we must demonstrate that democracies are capable of protecting lives from all types of terror. If we fail to achieve this task in Ukraine now, Russian terror will further spread throughout Europe and beyond. The Russian leadership's sense of impunity, forged over decades of unrestricted authority, has already resulted in a lot of suffering and loss of life. Russia must confront the responsibility for taking lives as well as the power of those who protect them.

Tomorrow, I will participate in a meeting in the “Ramstein” format, with additional negotiations planned with partners at the level of defense ministers and military commanders. Ukraine’s Defense Minister, Rustem Umerov, is already in Germany and has begun initial meetings. For Ukraine, the key priority is to continue strengthening our air defense systems and to ensure we can at least push Russian military aviation away from our cities and borders. This goal is achievable if our partners act now to implement the agreements we have been discussing for a long time. I am grateful to everyone who is helping.

When Ukraine addresses partners, requesting air defense systems that they have in warehouses and bases but that are needed here, in Ukraine, to protect lives, we are talking about genuine allied action. We in Ukraine value the efforts of all leaders and states who are truly active, keep their promises, and work hard to improve the capabilities of our air shield. Russian terrorists have already had enough time—years—to destroy Ukrainian life. This year cannot be a year of further discussions. Everything is very specific. Ukraine needs air defense, and partners can help us with that. We need artillery, and the world has it. Only a sufficient number of air defense systems and fighter jets can drive the Russian aviation away. Decisions must be made. And they are possible. Everyone around the world who truly desires peace must not be afraid to demonstrate force in order to defend life.
