STARLINK: Icomera and Deutsche Bahn have completed the Gigabit Zug 2030 research project, a technology showcase on high-speed rail lines in rural Germany. The system combined Starlink, sectorized cellular antennas, Wi-Fi 7 onboard access points, and the Icomera X7 gateway with SureWAN. During a 2.5-hour test ride, it achieved an average throughput of 784 Mbps and peaks above 1.6 Gbps. Many people often question why only Gujarat is getting a bullet train and not the rest of India. Let’s take a moment to understand the broader perspective: • Mumbai–Ahmedabad is the first High-Speed Rail (HSR) corridor, but definitely not the only one planned. • It’s one of the busiest rail and air routes in the country, with an average of 80 flights daily in both directions. • The region has a higher per capita income, making it more viable for such large-scale infrastructure. • Despite already having 2 Vande Bharat trains, 1 Shatabdi, 1 Tejas, 1 Double Decker, and several other dedicated trains, demand still exceeds capacity. Importantly, this corridor is just the beginning,the line will be extended to New Delhi, another major air corridor. Future plans also include extending the HSR to Howrah via Varanasi and Patna, connecting several key cities in Bihar. Let’s remember: when the first train ran between Mumbai CSMT and Thane on April 16, 1853, it didn’t mean that was the only railway line India would ever have. New Trains to Kempegowda International Airport: Requested a feasibility study for the introduction of new trains to Kempegowda International Airport from Bengaluru City, especially Whitefield. 5. Bengaluru Cantonment-Whitefield Quadrupling: The quadrupling of the Bengaluru Cantonment to Whitefield section will be completed by June 2025. 6. Doubling Projects: The doubling of the Hosur-Salem line via Yesvantpur station and the Baiyyappanahalli-Hosur line will be completed by August 2025. 7. Status of the Circular Rail Network: a. Oddarahalli-Devanahalli Segment: The survey is complete, and the DPR was submitted to the Railway Board on 23.09.2024 for ₹1638.24 Cr. The Railway Board has requested the complete DPR by February 2025. b. Remaining 6 Segments (Devanahalli-Malur-Heelalige-Hejjala-Solur-Nidavanda-Oddarahalli): The survey work is ongoing. 8. Bengaluru-Mumbai High-speed train: Proposed the introduction of a high-speed train between Bengaluru to Mumbai. 9. MEMU Trains Between Kengeri and Whitefield: Proposed the introduction of additional MEMU trains between Kengeri and Whitefield. 10. Namo Bharat Rapid Rail: Proposed the introduction of Namo Bharat Rapid Rail between Bengaluru-Tumakuru and Bengaluru-Mysuru.

India-Japan discussions on Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed train are in fact progressing well. Japan will provide the E-20 train series but only in the early 2030s. An anti-collision system like KAVACH would’ve prevented this mishap. But guess what - KAVACH is operational on LESS THAN 2% of Indian Rail network despite the technology being introduced in 2016. It’s taken the Modi Govt 8 years to cover just 2% of the network. In Ramenskoye (Moscow Region, Russia) we made sure that the rare rail-welding machine cannot be used to restore rail service anymore. In the future, railway track repairs on this section will no longer be carried out promptly, and the Russian Railways will be forced to bring in a similar train from another location as a replacement. And there's also the Zhukovsky Airfield in this region - the main base of the M. M. Gromov Flight Research Institute, where new combat aircraft and military technologies are tested.
