I've been spending more time with Bezi to see how far I can push vibe coding a game on the Unity Editor. So far, I'm pretty happy with what I can achieve with Bezi. Here are some learnings: - Even though I use Bezi to do all agentic coding, I still have to perform a few small manual tasks in the Unity Editor - As a result, I feel like I am getting a hang of Unity's complex and clunky UI, which actually feels good! - This is one of those examples where Vibe Coding is a great way to learn game dev. - For big features, I can't state the importance of asking the agent to create a plan first before implementing the feature. It can work wonders. Most of the bigger features/ssytems starts with a clear plan. - The biggest strength about working with Unity Engine is the Unity Asset Store, there's so much good stuff in there, 3D assets, shaders, vfx etc that can really spice up your game, that other game enginers will need to build from scratch. - Because Unity Assets Stores sell UI assets packs, I was able to implement decent looking UI fairly quickly. For those of you that vibe code games, you know how much of a pain it is to implement UI. - I did meet a few hiccups along the way where Bezi seems to struggle a little with implementing some features, but usually with some retries it works out at the end, though it burns a ton of tokens. After spending more time with Bezi, I'm still feeling good about using it. I am able to get this PvZ style autobattler working in a few days!

When I saw that Assassin's Creed Unity was getting a 60 FPS update for current gen consoles, I honestly could not wait to see it with my own eyes. And after playing it, I realized it is not just 60 FPS. The game also seems to be upscaled to 4K, which is absolutely insane in my opinion and the game runs incredibly smooth! Many of you know that I have never been the biggest fan of Unity. But I have to admit, maybe it is just placebo, yet it genuinely feels like the game plays better. Almost like the controller responds more precisely to what I actually want to do. I tested it properly in stealth and of course in parkour, and I have to say, it feels amazing! For PC players this might not be anything special. But for someone like me, mainly playing on console, finally being able to experience Assassin’s Creed Unity at 60 FPS is a game changer. And by the way, co op also seems to be working normally again. This is honestly crazy to see!

This weekend, I explored a mobile game idea with my kids (they suggested a mobile pokemon-like game) so I had them coming up with ideas for the creatures and I try to visualise them with ChatGPT Images 2.0 and vibe coded a small prototype on Cursor to play around with. The art direction of the creatures are in vinyl toy matte style so it has this toy-like aesthetic quality that I quite like! For a mobile app/game, I went with Expo + React Native to create this mobile app so that I have one code-base for both Android and iOS. So far I'm pretty impressed with Expo's live mobile app preview feature! Being able to easily preview the mobile app on my phone in seconds is a big plus.

Unity 6 + Opus 4.8 built a Minecraft-style game with just 2 prompts 😱 The first prompt took around 15 minutes. The second prompt took around 40 minutes. I wrote down everything I wanted for the first version, GPT expanded it with more details, and I sent it to Opus. Less than an hour later, I had a playable game. I actually spent more time setting up Unity 6 than building the game itself. It's wild to think about where this is heading. If 2 prompts can do this, imagine what an entire project looks like when every feature is built this way. Congrats to Anthropic. What they're building is incredible.

I think I might have discovered the best 2D game engine for vibe coding games. For the past few weeks, I have been making a lovecraftian fishing game with peaceful day time fishing and intense night time combat where you fend off mutated sea creatures. And I've been using Love2D game engine for this. Love2D game engine runs on LUA, which is a compact (token-friendly) programming language that many models (GPT5, Grok Code and Sonnet) are pretty good at. I'm considering to set up a Patreon where I'll share more in depth content (devlogs, prompts, advice, tips etc) where I'll share my learnings as I vibe code an indie game from scratch. Today, I'm revealing my Roblox Game FULLY scripted using Claude Opus 4.6 Extended. This project took about 4 days to complete, and not a single line of code was touched by an actual scripter. In the conversation I had with Claude, I guided it to complete the entire coding, this game started with a Frontend and a Backend - It is now a fully complete frontpage Roblox Game. From UI Animations, to Visual effect movements, and UI Icons, it was all Claude. The game releases Tomorrow, and I'm expecting it to reach front page on Roblox within a few weeks. 300 Likes, and I'll share the FULL conversation, which was used to build the game. Claude is incredible, this is genuinely an insane movement for coders enhancing their productivity with AI. This is FRICKEN INSANE.
