Motorcycle crash. Who's at fault?
10 条评论

Motorcycle was going too fast into an intersection. Ninety percent of accidents happen in intersections, so you have to be ready to stop.

Truck blocked the right of way. If you can't complete the turn, don't go.

I’m confused why everyone is blaming the motorcyclist. There is absolutely no reason why the truck should be in the middle of the intersection like that. The truck driver would be at fault regardless of the motorcyclist of speed because they had the right of way.

The truck is clearly wrong. Can’t block the street like that. If you cant clear it, dont turn. However, the biker appears to be driving assuming other drivers are “fully committed” and that is fundamentally incorrect. Same reason I do not pull out in front of folks with their blinker on until I see them start to make the turn. Too many times other drivers change their minds and I dont make decisions based on perceived actions of others.

I don’t care who did mistake, once you rode the Motorcycle, you are already 95% guilty…

The rider at fault, too fast, should be more aware, and careless clothing choices.

reminds me of…

I have ridden motorbikes since I was 16 (… now 76 … so 60 years!). Touch wood … never had an accident. The question is non-sense! When I am driving my bike I take TOTAL responsibility for EVERYTHING around me. Epitaph on motorcyclists grave … "but he had right of way?”

Too many people ride with the “trust me bro” mentality that people will do the right things rules wise. Truck is clearly doing the wrong thing here and the lady clearly doesn’t know how to drive. Gotta legit watch for these people that don’t know the rules when driving. They are the root cause of accidents.

Your duty on the road is to not drive so fast that you cannot stop if you see an obstacle in front of you.
