Nothing lets me feel more into the lower lats than a cable single arm pull down or row. No machine comes close to it.

- Weighted pull ups - Seated cable rows - Wide grip pull down - Single arm lat pulldown - Machine chest supported row or T-bar row 2-3 sets. 0-2 RIR. 2x per week Pull narrow for lats. Pull wide with arms flared for upper back. Use vertical and horizontal variation for both.

All the biggest dudes: “Single Arm Lat Pull-Downs using a Cable Tower absolutely BLEW my Lats up…well worth the small setup hassle!” All the smallest dudes: “Just do Barbell Rows and Chin Ups, bro…this setup is way too much” Lesson in there!

How to build an INSANE Chest & Back: • 2-3 Sets of Incline Machine Press • 2-3 Sets of Wide Grip Lat Pull-Down • 2-3 Sets of Pec Fly Machine • 2-3 Sets of Chest Supported Rows w/ Flared Elbows Then, 3-4 days later…. • 2-3 Sets of Flat Machine Press • 2-3 Sets of Chest Supported Rows w/ Flared Elbows • 2-3 Sets of Seated Low to High Cable Flys • 2-3 Sets of Single Arm Lat Pull-Down All sets should feature good-great technique in the 5ish to 10ish rep range with sets ending when you reach failure or you’re at least very close to that point

This is actually the BEST way to do Single Arm Lat Pull-Downs on the traditional cable setup “Why not just sit down???” Better positioning as his body is positioned away from the stack You can brace with your off-hand as well WATCH AND LEARN, folks

2026 is going to be the year everyone finds out the Lat Pull-Down Machine is also…. ….a BICEP CURL STATION Quite literally one of the MOST EFFECTIVE exercises for targeting the Biceps and it’s almost no setup Gonna keep telling y’all: Upper Arm Support is AMAZING for Biceps

Just absolutely WILD that anyone could watch this video/see this machine in action and think…. “That’s cool & all but I think a Pull-Ups will do a better job of growing my Lats!”

I've said it before and I'll say it again: The neutral-grip lat pulldown is by far my favorite variation. I'm able to connect best with it - try to keep shoulders pinned down (think: keep shoulders away from ears) - intentionally reach up on the eccentric (but be sure to keep load on lats) - drive elbows into hips, DONT think: "I need to pull this bar down" - I like to pretend my entire lat is a 3 inch piece of string that goes from the top of my lat to the very top of my arm, and just try to contract that small area (see picture)

The Assisted Pull-Up Machine allows you to drive a TON of stimulus to the Lats b/c of the reduced coordination demand This is NOT just a piece of equipment to be used by weak people It is a legit Lat builder that even jacked dudes like Mike can use

I’ll be telling people all 2026: It is of NO BENEFIT to your Lats to let your Shoulders rise when doing Pull-Downs or Pull-Ups Instead, keep your scapula depressed and refrain from overextending at the top of your reps GAME CHANGER for Lat gains!!!
